Naan-like Easy Flatbread Recipe
Make these from-scratch flatbreads without yeast using this quick and easy recipe the next time you are looking for an alternative to naan.
I tried this recipe twice and was disappointed both times. This recipe does not taste or have the same texture as naan. I should have known better when I saw several reviewers referencing pizza and toppings.
This recipe is really good and really easy. Almost everyone will have the ingredients on hand. It’s a basic recipe that you can add your own spices to change the flavor profile if you like. I like to leave some plain and put a little brown sugar, garam masala and garlic powder on top on others - Rub it in as soon as it’s out of the pan and still oily. Or you can also add ingredients such as these into the dough itself. Thumbs up!
I made it with cinnamon. It's a learning curve. First 2 were too thick with poor bake. 2nd two shaped to size and thickness of flour tortilla. Those were perfect. Slathered with real butter cinnamon and sugar. Indian fry bread-like! So good.
I added 1/2 tsp of salt, it came out soft pliable very easy was surprised, it is in my collection of easy quick breads now. Thanks
While this two-ingredient Indian naan bread is not totally authentic, it sure works in a pinch and could not be easier.
Flour, milk, olive oil, and salt are all it takes to make this delicious Egyptian-style crispy flatbread. Make your own in 40 minutes!
This naan recipe is deceptively easy to make, and baked under the broiler. You can spice it up by adding garlic, or leave it plain.
